"Sunset at Home" is my oil painting that captures a cherished evening at the fishing pier on the bay of Somers Point, New Jersey. I took my kids there one late summer evening to watch the sunset, but they were far more fascinated by the mud and clams at the water’s edge. I loved their enthusiasm—it filled my heart with joy. While they explored, I grabbed my camera to snap photos of the vibrant sky, glowing with warm oranges, purples and pinks. Later, I poured those moments into this painting, blending the serene beauty of the sunset. This piece is a love letter to those simple, perfect family evenings by the bay.
